This quote was from Coach Rob Schoenfeld to the incoming freshman football players at Glen High School tonight.

“Don’t do Anything that could cost you Everything!”

Struck me how simple yet powerful it is! As we hear stories of one pastor after another falling, hearing this reminds me once again that life is about choices. And while as followers of Christ we get forgiveness when we seek it, it’s also important to remember that worldly choices come with worldly consequences!!

This morning Pastor Bard Letsinger spoke about “Change” and reminded us to put God first in everything we do. Don’t just talk about doing something and changing something, actually do it. Make God the Priority your life!!!

We are excited for the future of Fellowship of the Crossroads in Victoria, TX. They are in the beginning stages of building a new Church and Worship building, Community Center, and developing land to be used by the surrounding neighborhoods.

Krueger Construction is in charge of all land development and construction.

Both of these trees are on a trail I hike I hike often.

The first is locally famous as the "lone pine." It's the only pine tree in the entire canyon. Everything else around is desolate, like the face of the moon, but this tree stands seemingly strong. On its own.

The second is further down the trail. It's not famous. No one really notices it. It used to be a pine tree. The only one around. Now it's dead.

Pastors tend to idealize themselves as the first tree. The strong pine standing alone in the midst of the spiritual darkness. "Local famous." Everyone looks at them as models of faith. The guy with all the answers.

The reality of their life can feel more like the second tree. Unknown. Lonely. Spiritually dying.

The more pastors try to position themselves as the lone tree, strong and sturdy, the more likely they end up as rotten wood.

Pastors like all people need community. A tree needs to be in a forest not isolated in the desert.

If you or a pastor you know is in need of community or encouragement we'd be honored to serve them.
